Detachable magazine systems from Seekins Precision.

Available soon is a newly designed detachable mag system designed for the Stiller Predator and other similar actions. This system will fit the Rem 700 style actions with a .1” longer magazine port. This allows the case OAL to be longer, putting the bullets closer to the lands for improved accuracy. This has become especially important in the WSM family of cartridges as well as the RUM and Lapua cartridges. 5 and 10 rd clips will be available. The floor plate will be make of aluminum for reduced weight.

Light weight controlled round feed action :

In the prototype testing phase, is a totally new action design concept for the hunting world. Designed by Bettin Custom Guns in conjunction with Advanced Barrel Systems, the new action is taking all the good design features of several actions, and combining them into one. Our goal is to produce an action, when used in conjunction with ABS carbon wrapped barrels and Lone Wolf carbon stocks, will result in a rifle weighing 5 lbs with .5 MOA accuracy. The action will contain the following features:

-Extreme lightweight aluminum construction with tool steel inserts at high stress points, similar to design as some of the current bench rest actions on the market.
-Cylindrical shape with Rem 700 footprint and trigger group
-pinned, light weight, Rem 700 style titanium recoil lug
-extended magazine port to accept .1” extended magazine from Wyatt or Seekins
-“opened up” ejection port for better ejection of WSM cartridges
-steel 2 lug, controlled round feed bolt face utililizing a static ejector for enhanced feeding and reliable ejection.
-Remington 700 style, aluminum bolt body with aluminum Rem 700 bolt shroud and Tubb light weight firing pin and spring system.
-Will come with Talley one piece light weight aluminum mounts, modified to accept 8-40 mount screws.

This action will be manufactured with precision tolerances, utilizing state of the art EDM and CNC machinery. We hope to have the action into production early in 2008. Initial models will be short action, will possible long action to follow at a later date.
